Family conflicts II



Last class we read the article Problems with your teenage children? and we listened to the end of the story (page 43)
We also did a communicative exercise on page 116 Has he done it yet? (Present perfect + already/yet)
Then we worked with the Skills book (page 6)


Homework

Skills pages 6-10, choose a task on page 10 and do the writing exercise.

Family conflicts

Last class we worked with pages 42 (vocabulary and grammar), page 43 (pronunciation & speaking and listening 4.6) and pages 132 4B and the exercises on page 133 4B.

Present perfect (just, already and yet)

We use just and already before the main verb in affirmative sentences and yet at the end of negative sentences and questions.

Are you hungry?
No, I´ve just eaten a sandwich.

You can use the computer downstairs.
Thanks, I´ve already checked my emails at work.

Have you seen the report yet?
No, Mike hasn´t sent it yet.

From rags to riches

Last class we reviewed the topic "clothes" (page 150) and talked briefly about Zara´s history and success (page 40)
Then we moved on to the Grammar section (page 41 and 132-4A) After this we worked with the exercises on page 133-4A (a and b)
Finally, we completed the speaking exercise on page 41.

Present Perfect (for experience)

Affirmative sentences

Subject+have/has+(never)+Past participle
He has never written a book.
They have worked abroad as teachers.

Questions

Have/has+subject+(ever)+Past participle?
Have you ever given a speech?
Have you seen the film Casablanca?

Homework

Workbook: page 31 exercise 3 a, page 32 exercises b and c.
